Richard Bouchard discovered his passion for the field of art during his college years. He started his learning experience when he attended Art Center College of Design. He began as an illustration major looking towards more commercial pursuits, yet soon found a deeper interest in things more personal. Kim Bouchard, on the other hand, found her love for all things artistic at a much younger age. She, a self-taught artist, had a much broader range of artistic pursuits. For a while her main passion was for ceramics, but when deciding to start a collaboration with Richard she found a new appreciation for the wonderful world of paint. Richard and Kim Bouchard wanted something they could share as a couple, and were delighted when they found their artistic views and expressions meshed quite well when working together to create their next feeling. Though they have been married since 1987 this was the first collaboration between them. Their viewpoints often differ, and where this might push others apart, it only serves to strengthen their final expression. Neither are as individually exceptional as the two are together. Their variance makes the perfect combination to bridge the gap between art and emotion.
